I has wondering if there is anything special I should be doing with my car since it was built for a high compression ratio. I did not build the long block that i have in my car. It came in the parts car i used to convert my car to a v8. The guy i bought it from told me the motor was done by an engine shop and that the compression ratio is 10.75:1. It has high compression pistons and the heads were shaved down. The heads are trick flow twisted wedge with a lot of porting and polishing done. The block was bored .040 over.
Should I be running a different spark plug gap or anything special? It has factory plugs with the factory gap. I always run 93 octane. My base timing is at the factory 10 degrees because my Crane Cams Interceptor II will be taking care of the timing advance once i figure out how to work the dam thing. The car runs now, but i was just curious if i should be doing something different
