I have been debating on upgrading my stock fuel rails before I get my car tuned. I am running a vortech setup with 42# injectors. I have a small kink in my fuel supply line at the intake manifold and I want to replace the rail before its too late.

How much hp with the stock rail hold? What are the pros of an aftermarket rail (vortech/aeromotive)? Where would I mount the fuel pressure regulator? THANKS

Supposidly the stock fuel rails flow to 400-450hp. The sn95 ones are said to flow more than the fox ones. If you have a kink with forced induction I would upgrade to an aftermarket setup. You will probably be bottlenecking your setup and running lean. Far from ideal.

well yea thats my concern. I have a few stock rails and I was wondering if it was worth the 200-300 plus the aggrivation with the potential of getting a diff regulator etc.

I have heard the same about the SN95 fuel rails flowing more. I have a set sitting in the garage that I plan on installing with my 42's before I go for my tune.

makes sense- i like the look of the billet rails, but i dont see the need for 1/2 rails at anything at or near or under 500hp. I guess I will go on the hunt for sn95 rails and another adj reg. Shux
