High Flow Heads On Stock Motor

So after reading through the replies you all have given and why i would build a 408 intread of the 302. Well the friend i got these heads from also gave me the rest of the 408 minus block (which had cracked) and a few other parts that ill need. so i have the cam, intake, heads, rotating assembly and what not. I figured I might as well use the heads while saving for the block.

Thats a good plan, it will be slugish if you don't add the supporting cast. I would run what you got in the car and build a block up with the 408 stuff and drop it in, this way you can take care of those unexpected things and save on gaskets.
