high idle, and brake failiar???

i was driving to lunch the other day, got my 88 Gt sideways around a corner, and when i stopped at the red light my idle was steady at about 2000rpms and my breaj pedal was as stiff as a rock. freaked me out but i got back to work and parked my car for about 4 hours, when i left for home it had the same problem untill i went around another corner nively. the problem just vanished my idle returned to normal and my brakes softed up.

im thinking its something with vacume or close related issue but the fact that it came back to normal keeps me blank, any info on the issue would be appreciated.

Your brake booster is on the fritz!

I'd recommend changing it

yeah, agreed. if you are still SD, the puter will go nuts if you run around with diminished vac (vac leak). it will think you are accelerating when you are not.

Yep... tried and verified this problem. LOL Those are same symptoms I had when one of the tubes broke free of the vac tree up against the firewall. Caused hell with the blower too!

Find your leak.
