I was at a car show the other day and I mentioned my high idle issue to someone I know there. He said he had the same issue and that there was a thread of the 50 things to check for. I thought it was in this forum, but perhaps not? Anyone know of this magic list?

Thanks. I managed to find that one, but I was not sure if it was the secret sauce. I will go through the checklist.

Do a base idle reset. A couple threads here covering it pretty good.

Base idle reset. Disconnect the IAC and pull the SPOUT and set the idle to 600-700ish. Reset the ECU, plug the IAC and SPOUT back in and let it relearn idle.

TPS voltage can be anything from 0.5V to 1.25V. There's no need to chase any specific value.

But .999999999999v was a part of the car magazines’ special track tune up when these cars were much newer. :jester:
Now, what’s a car magazine? :rlaugh:
