Hello!
I have a 90 stang that I converted auto to manual trans. Still using the Auto computer.
Occasionally when I push the clutch in the car will stall out (probably 1/10 times I push it in)
The speed sensor is not connected, so vehicle does not know speed, does the ecu take speed into consideration?
The vehicle has a hanging idle occasionally as well. I installed a iacv plate with the small holes....This did help the hanging idle quite a bit, but it still does it...especially after it stalls.

Any help would be great!

Fix the known VSS problem first and if you still have problems check this out...

You guys with idle/stall problems could save a lot of time chasing your tails if you would go through the Surging Idle Checklist. Over 50 different people contributed information to it. The first two posts have all the fixes, and steps through the how to find and fix your idle problems without spending a lot of time and money. It includes how to dump the computer codes quickly and simply as one of the first steps. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions. You can post questions to that sticky and have your name and idle problem recognized. The guys with original problems and fixes get their posts added to the main fix.

It's free, I don't get anything for the use of it except knowing I helped a fellow Mustang enthusiast with his car. At last check, it had more than 200,000 hits, which indicates it does help fix idle problems quickly and inexpensively.

You need the VSS hooked up, the NSS on the clutch pedal switch hooked up, and to change out the trans harness so that you can plug the NGS on top of the t-5 into the harness.

Thanks for the info!
The tram side gear is not set properly so I'll pull the tail housing and get the gear fixed and go from there!
