High Performance Fuel Pump

Any recommendations anyone? At the moment I've got the stock Carter style pump. I would like to upgrade to an aftermarket pump, possibly an Edelbrock or Holley.

Oil pump? It sounds like you mean fuel pump. Do you want mechanical or electric? If mechanical, they're all pretty good. If electric, I'd stear clear of the Holley pumps (reds and blues), I know a lot of people that have been left stranded by them, plus they seem to be noisier than other pumps. Use a Mallory or Summit catalog brand, the Summit pumps are re-boxed Aeromotives units for $50 less.

Thanks. Guess I'm not awake yet. I've corrected the thread, I was thinking fuel pump and typing oil pump. I was thinking of sticking with mechanical. Is Aeromotives a good make?

mechanical....just get the summt brand high flow and you will be fine. No sense in paying for a name.

And...I run a holley blue. Ran a blue and a black one on two other cars...never had a problem.
