Or send him a link to this thread and let him read it.

Edit: that orange coupe looks cool, and the chassis appears to be set up to go fast, but a 300 hp V6 is serious underkill. That puppy needs cubes.

This was my first reaction as well. look at the homes around it.

look guys, I'm surprised at all of you, give this guy a break......all he wants to do is heat his home for the winter. that would be just the right amount of money to get through till april.

I'm shocked at all of you...

His ebay reply........

no time slips just my swiss army watch. the stall convert kicks on at 2,000 rpm. the engine was rebuilt about 8 years ago and the motor has 53,000 miles on it. The car is rust free, it has been totally rebuilt. If you where to offer 10 grand for this car I would laugh and walk off. I aint gonna relist it. I only live a hour from bristol motor speedway and I assure you that my car will blow away a stock 427 hemi in a car even with nitrous. The problem is with ebay is people dont trust people but Im serious when I say the car is worth 18,000 dollars. If I dont sell it here I sell it at the smoky mountains when the summer comes. So brother if you serious about buying it then ask for my phone #.

The orange one doesn't even HAVE floormats, let alone the $70 kind.

So a Stall Converter kicks in at 2 grand! Now I understand everything.

A 427 hemi? That sounds pretty elusive. heh.

And 53,000 miles on a nitrous small block that's powerful enough to beat down some random nitrous big block(unless he was talking about the even more elusive 427 hemi small block, of course) is a lot of miles, to say the least. (10,000 miles on such a motor is a lot of miles! 53,000 miles = grenadeville)

I wish this guy would come here and post.

I'd like to see a supercharged, bored and stroked version of a 4.2L instead, that would be pretty cool. I still can't believe how skinny that 2.8L looks, though. Especially with all the blower hardware sticking up on top. I guess I've never seen one so stripped down and simplified.

OOOOOOHHHHH, AAAAHHHHH! That car was called "Sis Shooter". It was actually featured twice. The first time was back when it was a stock except for the motor. It was funny to me at hte time, he got featured, just as mine was fininshed being tubbed.:Track:

As for the other joker, I'm sure there is a mother ship waiting for him somewhere. Too bad a nice coupe is wasted like that.

Everytime I see that tubbed V6 car for sale the price keeps coming down. If it gets any lower I may have to get serious about it. I'd just tear out the V6 and stuff a built 347 or something back in it (more suitable for the tub job) and pedal it. Then i could disect that V6 and see what i don't already know.

I also like the almost 1 year old photos he used. Nothing like misleading the attack of shopping carts or whatnot. Or more likely the appearance of fisheye or checking or more commonly shrinkage now plauging the car from the el-cheapo painjob.

Car's at 100 bux!?! (res not yet met) Did he change the auction??

If I had room I think that blown 6 would be pretty cool to own as is. Might not be the biggest kid on the block but a blown V6 is pretty cool.

ok this guy is definately out of his mind on the hemi comment.
but some of you guys are talking like your planning on buying it and need detailed info just to knit pick on his MUSTANG II..mabye it is worth 15000.
how do you know what he has got into it..seriously you dont know...
is there something wrong with trying to get top dollar for it..
some of you seem to be the mustang ii police like its illegal to sell above 10 grand..
i will say i wouldnt let my car go for under 10,000 but i dont ever plan on selling it..although if i did list it with ebay i would ask 15000 for my car too
and if it didnt sell i wouldnt care.. how do you know those arent his intensions. i think we should all list our cars on ebay for top dollar just to see if it would sell.. i will bet you would sell yours for 15k..
if your offended by this post to bad.. you should be out working on your own car, instead of knit picking another mustang II you have little info about..
one more thing i met the guys who built that red II back in the late 80s
which was over 15 yrs ago..is the owner crazy to ask 9000.00 for a 15yr old
tubbed coupe with a s.c.v6.. that isnt even ready for the road.
you can barely find a bottom line new kia or hyundai for under 15 grand.
arent they crazy for buying cheap japan crap......welcome to 2005..

I do know, as the II.net link above shows he purchased this car from Brad in CA it sold for around 10K and this guy hasn't changed a thing.

And when he started this auction his opening bid price was $22,000 and his responses to emails lead me to believe he's may be a bit tech'd in the hed.

At least the previous owner gives some actual engine specs, rather than "built with k&n"

I just think it's funny that I have asked this guy on several occassions for pictures of the interior / engine bay and haven't gotten a thing

Anybody else think the guy is flipping out about the car now........bids are UP TO $600 bucks. Guess he just wanted to see what it would get up to. Hopefully he's now realizing that he needs to set his bong down and set a realistic price
