High revs upon start-up

Every time I start the engine, it fires up and revs. real high as if I had stabbed the throttle.
Problem with this is that I can hear that bearings are starved for oil and they make that clatter.
Anybody have thoughts on this? is it normal?
So I've been just starting and immediately shutting off the motor, then re-strart. By the second start, the oil pressure is up and I don't get the clatter of starved bearings....

If the clatter goes away after 1 or 2 seconds its normal.
As for the high idle thats normal when the engine is cold,
but it should go down to about 600 or 800 rpm's after
10 or 20 seconds.

It's normal

Mine revs to about 2k when I start it but is drops down to around 800 after 1 or 2 sec, it's been like that from new and now it has almost 60k on the clock still going strong.
