high rpm cutout in 1st gear

ok ,cool,ya ,musta been a limiter..didn't know there was one ..is it computer activated and how does it work? can it be bypassed and how do people blow up thier engine with nitros if it has a limiter :spot:

It's computer controlled a chip or a ecc tuner will take care of that problem. My question is why would you want to with a stock cam? Stock cams fall on their face at 5200 rpms. N.O.S if not properly installed and tuned will blow a motor and if you hit the limiter while using a N.O.S will force the engine to rev past this limit and find the weakest link and good by.

To add on to that it is Nitrous or Nitrous Oxide, N.O.S is a company :D
Anyway, when it hits the stock rev limiter, it cuts fuel. So you run REALLY lean with the nitrous and your engine goes bu-BYE :notnice: Aftermarket ignitions have timing rev limiters that cut the spark so your engine doesn't go lean like that.

Yeah it's just quicker for my to type n.o.s. To me it's just an abbreviation for any kit. :D
