Higher Rpm ?

1993 mustang gt 302 ported gt40x heads b303 cam 1.5/8 headers 1.72 roller rockers stock intake & t/b , the car runs good but it pulls hard till about 5500 rpms then its done I think it should pull till 6000 or so any info guys

Explorer intake same as 93 cobra. Cheap upgrade comes with 65mm TB

You need intake manifold, throttle body and maf.

The explorer TB is 65mm however the intake will accept up to a 70mm.... 65mm is more than adequate for what you have.

MAF from a 94-95 5.0 is a direct replacement for yours and requires no recalibration. Size I believe is 70mm?? Either way it's an upgrade over the stocker

I would like to find a good used intake but not the gt40 one because im got more mods im gonna do later on

I agree the stock intake and tb are limiting.

There’s another simple thing that might help. Many people increase ignition timing as high as 14 degrees. If you’re near that, try dropping it back to 10 or 12. You’ll have slightly less throttle response on the low end rpms but should pick some up on the top end. Top end is where you want it on these small blocks

For experiment, drop it to 10. Take it for a spin and see if it climbs better on the top end.

I really just need to buy a intake and injectors and have it tuned
