i have a black 1998 Cobra, only bolt-ons, stock engine.

whats your mileage, or the highest you have heard of?

I think 155k is the most I have heard of..... Any oil consumption issues? You using synthetic oil or regular?

I have almost 124k on my black 98, doesnt use any oil and drives perfect. I use royal purple.

i use royal purple, change it regularly, and it doesnt use much at all.

Roger that. I was just going to ask about that. I am considering purchasing a 96 cobra with 112K and I was wondering how strong these motors are. Are there tell tale signs that an engine has been abused? Where could i send the oil to have in analyised?

blew my first motor @ 42k, a week after i bought it....strange huh, think it was supercharged before I had it

109,000 on my 96. Runs strong, very little if any oil consumption, but I think I have a leak I can't find but its not enough to drip.

34k on my 03 cobra I bought in 02... I love to drive it and I will continue to do... for those that have a car 8 years and only drive on nice sunday's... I am glad I am not your car - the only non ford slogon I like is "Grab life by the horns"
