Hissing when put in gear/stumbling clutch engagement/ UPDATE, Pics Inside

I have a 2000 GT with a King Cobra Clutch which was installed about 7k mi ago. Two nights ago I was approaching a red light, slowed down and shifted into first. I got a loud scratch from the synchro and the gear popped back out. For about 5 minutes the car wouldn't go into any gear at all, after playing with the clutch and shifter for a while I got it into 1st gear. When I would accelerate out of first the car would buck and stumble, the same for shifting to any other gear. When I got the car home I started it and tried to go through the gears with the clutch pushed in. Now with the clutch fully pushed in, the car makes a loud hissing noise each time I put it into a gear. There is no noise in neutral just the tob chirping, only when it is put into a gear. I checked my clutch cable at both ends, readjusted the quadrant and haven't had any luck. The car is driveable, but I get the bucking and stumbling when engaging the gears, the loud hissing noise in each gear, and I can smell clutch when it's driven. Someone suggested a toasted TOB, a new one was installed with the king cobra but it has squeeked almost since the installation. I don't think the clutch is shot because it is still holding under acceleration. Does anyone have any suggestions???

EDIT:

Today when we were under the car we noticed trans fluid leaking from around the shifter area. We pulled the shifter to examine and found what you see here. Notice the black goo on the side which appears to be corroded gasket. The chunk of white plastic was found in the small drain hole at the base. Also, I'm guessing the black rubber grommet type piece is a relief of some sort. Is it supposed to be in this kind of condition? After we reassembled everything I started it and went through the gears with the clutch in... the shifting is now getting more rough and occasionally synchros grind in various gears when going in. What do you guys think? Does it look like I need to start searching for a new trans?
