For what you stated that cost sounds about right. When I had to replace my front bumper I just took the check from the insurance company and took the car to a shop that was willing to work with me on getting an 03 Cobra bumper on it. From what I found the Cobra bumper should not by any more $ than the stock, maybe even a little less. Go figure. In the end I still had about $150 left since the shop did it for cheaper than estimated.

You will need to get another fog light and assembly to replace the other side which was not damaged and covered. It may also require a little rewiring as I can see where they spliced the Cobra light wiring into the existing, but shouldn't be too bad.

Its also good since your car is dark that you don't need to paint the core support. Mine being red, you could see the support through the lower opening so I had to paint it black so it didn't stick out.

Side Question...

I have been wondering since I noticed this on my Mustang a few weeks ago. What is that black tube for? It is just that one loop and has no fins, both of which seem rather odd to me, if for cooling purposes.

My '04 is some stuff that looks like styrofome but is a little harder. If you look at the back bumper you can see through those little slits that there's something behind it. Same with the front. At first I thought Ford forgot to take out some packing material until I realized it was to help absorb an impact.

Oh, and the guy who asked what that black piece is for, I think it is just a brace. I could be wrong though.

Nice, more tucson stangers! Sux what happened, sorry to hear that, but at least the insurance is gonna take care of it for yah. I'd go the cobra front bumper route too, if at all possible. Looks better and is cheaper.

Power steering cooler.

It's a poor cooler, all it is is a tube in the airstream. Apparently it does the job well enough for a street car.

It's like a black styrofoam, but a lot harder.

It's in the front and rear bumpers.

Look through the tiny slits in a 99+ rear bumper and you will see it.

I tried that with my last car when it got messed up. I had side damage which was estimated at about $3,000. State Farm wrote the check out to me AND the dealership. Dealership wouldn't sign the check over to me, bam.. no spendable money.

I decided to just go with the regular bumper for now. At some point I want to add a complete set of Roush Stage II effects, but don't want to have just the bumper while I'm saving up for the rest of the kit.
