Hey Everyone,

Haven't been on here in a while.

I just got nailed in an intersection today and it looks like I will have to replace my rear bumper and gas tank (if I were going any slower, I would have been t-boned!).

So, I am looking at a Steeda rear bumper for my '94 GT and possibly an Aeromotive gas tank, or at the very least, an aftermarket fuel pump.

Any suggestions on the best upgraded fuel pump and or tank for every day driving, as well as your thoughts on rear bumpers would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Hit and Run (long version)

Hey Everyone - thanks for the replies, I agree about the rear bumper, but it just looks so plain. Is the Steeda bumper really that bad? Walboro had not crossed my mind, will look into that one as well. What about the Ford Motorsports and BBK high-volume pumps? Are they good quality?

94gts - I had been sitting at a stoplight and when it turned green, I stepped on the gas, went across three lanes of southbound traffic, crossed the median divider, passed the first of three lanes of northbound traffic and just as I was almost finished crossing, got nailed in the rear passenger side of the car. This sent me somewhat sideways, but still moving forward, so I corrected for the spin and continued drifting across the final lane of traffic and down the street I had continued to go for about another 5 feet. I felt like I was in one of those VW commercials where everything is fine and then they get nailed. I didn't even see the car that hit me. In any event, once I realized what had happened. I stopped and got out of the car to go talk to the other driver because it looked like he was stopping. I got about ten feet when he gassed it and took off. I went back to my car to start it up and reverse out of the intersection and give chase, but it wouldn't start up and gas was leaking all over the place.

The good news is, I found his license plate in the intersection (dummy) and a witness followed him until he pulled over, so they arrested him for it!

That's not so ugly, is it? I like that and the Steeda bumper, what do you think?

Might as well say that is a Roush bumper. They used 2 different one's. The lastest SN95 Roush bumpers actually came from Wings West .... so it's the same thing.

It looks okay ..... as long as you get some side skirts to match, IMO.

im glad that some other people were looking out:nice:
if he has insurance, i hope they cover for every penny it takes to fix it. I was gonna say since you are cali, that there would probably be an intersection camera or 2 that may have caught him:shrug:

anyway, walbro pretty much makes all of the fuel pumps for every OTHER aftermarket company. so you could either get a walbro or a walbro:lol:

as far as the body, just get a stock replacement bumper unless you are going to do a front bumper and the sideskirts as well to match.

since your car didnt start, you are going to have to flick the fuel pump switch in the trunk. It kills power to the pump in case you crash so the car doesnt blow up. heres a link for a tank http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/iwwida.pvx?;item?item_no=LRS-9002B . that site is good for probably everything you will need to get on the road again:nice:

Walboro fuel pumps are good pumps, also I would just get a stock bumper I don't like the aftermarket bumpers but thats just me. Glad you're ok

I agree with Danny about the bumper and the Walboro...he only thing I would add is that.......I know you said it was a DD.....think hard if you are going to do more mods that will require a 255 lph.......no need to do it twice since your there now...
BTW...the insurance didn't try total it did they..lol
