So, sometime this weekend some jerk off decided to back down the entire side of my car. I live on campus so they were probably really drunk.
I park a good 3 feet away from the line and they somehow managed to not just hit the car, but then slide down the entire driver side and rip the mirror off.
The church that I park at called me today and said "Um, we have a mirror someone dropped off today and we think it might be yours." So I am thinking WTF. I walk out there and see the mirror gone and think someone was drunk and ran into it, and it fell off. I get closer and BOOM, red and white streaks down the whole side along with random dents.
Great. This is the same side of the car that a deer ran into not a month ago. We spent a week doing bodywork on a used door and fender, and then had them sprayed black. The paint wasn't even done curing and this happens.
On top of that, I call the police department and they tell me to come to them. My buddy and I are saying to eachother on what kind of police can't come to me, since the station is not 5 minutes away.
So, I get there, wait a half an hour, and an officer comes out. I can already tell I am a waste of his precious time. He looks at it, takes my information, and tells me he will have to give me some kind of Private Property accident report BS that sounded like it meant nothing at all because, get this, he can not PROVE i was parked there when it happened. Well not **** you can't prove it. You made me drive my car to the station just to fill out a report. If you would have driven 5 minutes to the parking lot, you would have seen that the car was obviously parked there the whole time.
So, I drove around campus for an hour looking for a red car with streaks down the side, and nothing. They were probably just visiting.
So, now, I am just F'd. This probably won't be getting fixed either. I am fed up.
