Anyone have any opinions on the Street Avenger? Compared to the standard Holley's these seem aimed at more of the casual street performance market (like Edelbrock)... how does a 670 Street Avenger match up to a 650 Edelbrock? I was looking at double pumpers but it looks like it might be too big a pain to get it to run right with my auto for the time being.

I have a street avenger (vacuum secondaries) on my 347. i've actually only driven with it for less than 50 miles so far. but so far so good.

I've got a 670 double pumper and it works great. It runs though an Edelbrock Performer intake on a modified 289 estimated at just under 350hp. I sometimes get a little run-on but I don't think it's the carb that's causing the problem.

holley makes a good carb, i prefer the edelbrock though. the two carbs you listed compare favorably to each other.

street avenger

I used one first time on my 302 in a 65. Easy bolt on and tuned well. I used 570 due to only 302 and runs fine. I'll use another next time.

I run a 670 SA on my 351. Good acceleration, and good on gas when you do not have your foot in it. I was able to tune mines easily, and trust me, I am by no means a "carb expert" When I goto the track, I swap in the "light" springs which is easily done with this carb. I am very happy with my choice of carb, and trust me, I did a lot of reaserch before I bought it.
