I'm running a 2000 GT with 2 chamber flows, K&N FPIK cold air intake, 275/35/18 Yokohama ES 100's. What would be the best HP producing mod for reasonable cash?

P.S. I've read all the newbie mod threads. Nothing stood out to me as a definate answer.

dollar for dollar if you're looking for pure horsepower I think nitrous is still the winner. For just better times gears is where it's at.

I was looking at 4.10's but the idea of recalibrating my odo. isnt appealing?!

Its sounds like 4.10's over underdrive pullies? Pullies are supposed to give 8-12HP, what about 4.10.s?

4.10s don't add any hp, but it sure as he(ll) feels like they do. not nearly as much lag.

cams are a good hp adder, but they are kinda pricey.

i have to go with gears too. they were the single most noticable mod, besides a s/c or something. it "feels" like you get about 50 more hp out of em, but in reality, they just put you in your power band faster. & man that makes a huge difference

Gears let you use the power you already have, better. HUGE (SOTP) gains...

Either a speedcal or a chip would work the best. Get the gears.

Gears 4.10's are awesome!!
I had them in my 4r70w, before I sold it.
Now with my t-45 GT, I will install 4.10 as well

get gears and some sort of chip, you can pick them up very cheap used. Have the chip calibrated for your gear...

a mid pipe is worth considering as well since you have high flow mufflers...all kinds of things I can come up with...you are limited by only your wallet!
