Hood Alignment Bumpers

I have a 95 GT and I am trying to lower the front of the hood by lowering the two rubber bumpers on either side. However, they are both seized up and no amount of lubrication is breaking them loose. So, I bought new ones, but I need help removing the old ones. Has anyone done this? Is there a trick to it, or do I just need to pry them out with a screwdriver or something"
