Soggy blanket

I don't mean to be a wet blanket here....but if you're doing that speed so often that you need a hood modification, then stay the hell away from my area.
Just MHO.

I know this is not the first time I have read a post from you about your dis-taste for those who like to go fast. You really have a strange user name for a guy who doesnt know how to drive fast and be safe at the same time. Try "SLOPOAK" and by a YUGO! And then stay away from everyones area.

I thought this thread got locked. I guess I was wrong. Anyone who drives that fast on a public road is insane and a potential murderer.
If you want to drive that fast, do it on the track where the only person you can kill is yourself.
Speed kills.

Woa!

Gee, anybody that drives that fast is "insane and a potential murderer" Kind of over the top to say the least! You must feel your oppinions are quite right and in any case the only ones that should matter to us. People really get wound up tight on these forums. Were supposed to be helping each other out are'nt we?

I'll post here what I posted in the other thread:

I think this thread has run its course. The last thing we need is a penis wagging contest about how fast you went on a public road/highway/freeway/etc.

All it takes is a small piece of debris or the failure of a $2 part and you become a statistic. Hopefully your ass clownery doesn't make a statistic of anyone else.

140 mph is 205 feet per second. To think you can drive safely at that rate on public road (ie condition unknown) is a serious error in judgment.

Consider the affect of a rock, tree branch, dead animal, car part (I've seen a a spark plug in a tire during a track session), or any of the other numerous things that can be found on a road.

Consider the affect of any number of parts that could fail on your car

Consider the affect of the many number of situations that could lead to another vehicle, pedestrian, bicyclist, etc

The jails and courts are full of people who didn't think about these possibilities before seeing what their mass produced, assembly line, assembled with cheap parts, performance car could do
