I need the adaptor that will let me put the hood back on my car. I recently put the v8 out of a mustang in my tbird and well...the throttlebody coming off the intake doesn't fit. The thunerbirds is suposed to curve down a bit. I herd that they make an adaptor that goes in between the t/b or egr and the upper intake. If anyone knows what this is actualy called or where I could get it, it would help a lot.

Thanks,
Zach

oh I found this part but I can't realy tell it this is what I'm looking for.

well the upper intake spacer will raise the height of your intake and unless you have the hood clearance your hood might not close after one. Basically used when taller valve covers are used and the throttle linkage doesn't fit anymore.

Hmm the intake spacer would give you more horizontial room, locating the intake air tube closer to the innner fender not hood up and down room.

The intake elbow you have pictured is for 94-95 mustangs, and might acutally work for your application, as far as up down adjustment its not going to do that, but the postion of the throttle body will be relocatedto the left and forward about 6 inches.

An idea is to find different motor mounts so the engine will sit lower and give you more hood clearance, the mustang converitble motor mounts actually drop the engine lower than regular lx or gt motor mounts. but I don';t know if there compatible with a t-bird

last resort would be to mill the intake down, but you will lose low end torque, general rule of thumb is the longer the intake runners the more lowend torque.
