Hood Height

worst case scenario: cut out where it's hitting.

maybe you could try using washers between the hood and hinges, and then making up for the slack w/ longer bolts. that would throw the hood lines off when closed, though, as the rear of the hood would be stick up by however much space you put between.

yeah thats the way it looks now b/c its not attached in the back but its latched in the front. ill take a pic of it real quick.
i was thinking of something like a mach1 type scoop, but the scoop actually being on the hood its self. so it adds the extra clearance and gives it a kool look. i just got to find a scoop that will work like that.

I have a Cobra with a 1" spacer.. I used a couple of washers and cut out the center bracing were the intake hit. It does not look bad either..

I hear AFM sell a 3/4" lower engine mounts...

Looks like there are 3 tabs on the scoop to begin with, the three outer screws hold the scoop on and the crapload of others are for guide rails for the cover that he made so water doesnt get in

i like that. i would make mine functional so air could pass over the engine. i connected the hood to the brackets tonight and the hood will close. there is some resistance but i think if i cut the support that is straight in the middle it will fit just fine.
