I am going to get a new hood. Why, because I was stupid . Anyway, what can you guys recommend. I am thinking heat extractor style, ram air, or cowl. Who really makes the best hood for about $500? I was thinking Cervini's, Harwood, Steeda, or Boss. Can't seem to find anything about Boss though.

In this Order: Saleen Heat extractor, Cobra R hood(95o.e. style), 96-98 cobra or GT hood.

^ agreed. Cervins makes some good stuff. Only problem is that they are so high quality, that they weigh about what the stocker does.

Stock weighs 45#s
My unknown brand 00 cobra R hood weighs 23#s. I would try and go light.

I tell you what could look sick is a 98 cobra hood like said . Throw some nice wheels on and put it in the weeds..that combo will look SOO awsome!

I figured I was the only one wanting to put a cobra hood on my GT It's a pretty aggressive looking hood and I like it

I personally lean toward a shaker hood, but for your '96, I think the 96-98 cobra hoods are kind of kewl.

96-98 cobra bumper and hood would look excellent. Just make sure you retain all your GT badges so people know you aren't trying to pose.

Very true and that would be why I would hesitate to do it.

Can you post some pics pre-install and paint and let me know how the fit and finish is? I know Cervivis has a good reputation.
