Hood Pin Appearance Kit install, anyone got these?

i see, u put urs underneath you're radiator cover?

def want to see pic ;-)

anyone know any good aftermarket radiator covers?

I have the CDC hood pin appearance kit and I got them put on where the Shelby GT has its. Then I had my mechanic drill a small hole into the bottom of the hood (I'm not drilling in my hood) to run the cord.

If you see heavy's front shot above, we elected to drill the mounting holes about about 1.5" toward the center from where the cable goes through the grill. Put them directly into the core support with a sheet metal screw.

It's really a universal deal where you could try and see what appeals to you via pushing the cable through the grill then standing back and looking at it. There was plenty of length on heavy's to really put them wherever he wanted up there.

I installed the real pins but had to do some mods to get them to work with this hood!

how big should i drill the hole for the sheet metal screw to hold down the cord?

1.5" ? i forget what you said.

sheet metal screws are usually self tapping. if yours are not, compare to a drill bit and use a few sizes smaller.

ah, ok. i havent bought mine yet Wonder what size screw i should get, im figuring i can bring the cord in and like make sure a screw fits through the hole and would hold it down

i dont have any local hardware stores, im guessing a sheet metal screw i can go to home depot? maybe autozone or pep boys?

im leaning towards home depot
