Don't get the standard style that comes with the Shelby. I have yet to see a set )other than brand new on a brand new car) that the pin plates aren't bent because the hood was popped before taking the pins out. Shelby has a billet hood pin set that would be much better although you drop a C note to get them there. I am sure you can find them elsewhere cheaper.

Thanks again Emay. Those instructions say you have to replace the hood prop with hood struts. Is that true? I'd prefer to not have to do that to install the pins. Is there another way to do it?

No you don't, your standard hood prop will work just fine..

For the record I used the outside bump stop holes so I didn't have to drill any holes in the core support in my car or Glenns car.

Nope, just buy new ones when your done..

LOL, It doesn't wear out your engine.

I just did a set on Saturday on 2 day old 08 and it was an hour job working normally.

Young kid off modded's site.. names Jeremy. Came down from McHenry and had a very tough time finding the house.. Not sure why, pretty straight forward right?

Did the pins, and CMCV deletes. Was an 08 black with gaudy chrome wheels. He ordered numerous things before even getting delivery of the car.

Nice kid though.. Told him 90 for the whole job and he kicked me a 50 on top of it.. (had him come early before the snow so he didn't have to drive home in it). Sorry did not take any pics...

Its not rice if it keeps you aftermarket hood from flying up at 80mph and destroying the hood, cowl and whatever else it hits!
