We are getting a 3" cowl Hood for my sons `87 LX soon and would like some input from you guys on what name brand of hood pins you like. I know there are some of the cheaper ones that will get rust on them pretty quick :nonono: and that is something we dont want.

I had a set of Moroso hood pins and decided not to use them, sold them to a buddy and he had no problem with them, if i get a new set i am getting locking hood pins. Especially if you can open the hood from under the front bumper or if you have no hood release. people will steal parts off the car left and right. Something to think about.

If you go to the track much, they will look down on locking hood pins. As if there is a fire under the hood they can't get it open fast enough.

I've used the hood pins that retain the pins to the hood which work great, and you will never lose them. The first set I had were steel, but I picked up another set from some import type of deal company(don't remember the brand but it had some japanese writing on the package lol) of the same thing in aluminum.
