hood scoop

did anyone here have the hood scoop installed?? if so, can you tell me how much it cost you, the scoop, paint if applicable and labor. thanks

When you say hoodscoop, are you talking about the kind found on the 99-04 GT's ? If so, they come that way from the factory.

i put a 01 scoop on my 00..i didnt have a template but that will make your job simple..the hood is fiberglass the drill goes threw like butter i'd do it your self to avoid hacks scratching your paint

I Took it to paint and body shops and got quotes.

$119 for the scoop. $100 to paint & install.

There are a constant flow of GT scoop "take offs" on eBay. So, you might be able to easily find one in the right color there.

The GT scoop fits onto a regular '96-'02 V6 hood ('03 and '04 V6 models use a different hood (the '99/'01 Cobra hood)). So, it should not be very hard to just drill the required screw holes onto your existing hood.
