Hood Scoop

Does anyone know how to remove the hood scoop from a GT. There are two bolts on the underside of the hood. I removed them both, but the scoop won't budge. Did I miss a fastener somewhere? There appears to be a sealant between the scoop and the hood. Is that all that holds the scoop besides the two bolts? Please help. I don't want to destroy the scoop or hood by doing something stupid.

if its a 35th anniversary hood scoop or spring edition yes there is only 2 bolts and double sided tape all around that is whats holding it down. If its a 2001+ newer there should be 7 nuts holding it down,.

It's a 99 LE. I guess I'll just have to use a little brute force to peal it from the tape. Thanks for the info.

A little heat from a blow dryer will help. Just enough to warm up the tape. Pry gently.

That double sided tape isn't something to F around with

Everything worked out fine, a little heat and a gently prying worked.
