hood scoop

I was thinking of the Roush hood scoop for my 06 GT Conv.
Reason being is you can get it painted with the stock (mine is Legend Lime) color. Has anyone done this and obviously they are painted @ different times so how would they match up?
One note: I have the black stripes running up the center of the car, so I think it might camouflage any difference in any slight color mis-match, would you agree?
Lastly, if you buy the scoop and it doesn't match, can you send it back for another?

well, i haven't done this, but i have considered it, i just decided against it. as for paint matching, i think you would be fine, i had my quarter louvers painted well after the car was built, and they match perfect. as long as they get the correct color code, you will be fine there. as for stripes, you would want to add the stripes to the hood scoop in my opinion. it would look funny without them...

I purchased the pre-painted one and it matched almost 100%. The difference is barely noticeable.

I was debating on this as well. But I also want the CDC shaker and a SC soo that'd be a waste of money if I got the shaker setup. I don't think it looks bad though.

TPONY - I have shown the attached pics (further up this post) to a few of my buddies and employee's and we all agree that we like the hood scoop a solid color with the black strips underneath (same as pics). So it will be a winter project, just lining up my winter projects and will update my picture once completed.
I will also do the light / roll bar, seeing it's a convertible, I think it looks great when "topless", kind of like silicone implants for some woman??!!
Lastly, I'm not sure if I will get to the custom-tune and CAI before winter, if not, that will hopefully be part of the project.
