Yes, I'm afraid this is another one of those exhaust questions. My current setup on my 5.0 is stock headers, O/R H-pipe, and Flowmaster 2 chambers. I don't mind loud, but I'm sick (and too old for) of all that drone and booming resonance. For that matter, I need a break from the whole chambered sound. I'm ready for a straight-through type muffler. Both Maxflows and Aerochambers appear to be straight through but there's a decibel test floating around here the states Maxflows might be too quiet for my taste. Do Aerochambers basically sound like a straight-through muffler? Do they drone? Does either muff suffer from that cracklely/blattiness that sounds like blown-out glasspacks? Everybody who has Aerochambers seems to love 'em and I just want a little reassurance before parting with my dough. Thanks.

Aerochambers are not a straight through design. They are chambered like a flowmaster. I had a set on a 95 with off road H pipe, hands down the best IN CAR sounding muffler Ive ever heard. They did NOT drone like flows. When I redo my exhaust, I will be using them again.
