First problem on 1988 Mustang GT

1.The horn stays on.
Had new horn button (from junkyard) put on and horn still stays on.

2. After having put on this new horn button when you push in the cigarette lighter the horn goes off .

Now horn is disconnected no horn on car but now push in the cigarette lighter and the horn goes off..

Did you try disconnecting the horn button and see if the cig lighter makes the horn go off, and vice versa?

Lol lemme look though my '88 wiring diagrams and see if i see anything that would tie the cig lighter to the horn.

Lol would you look at that. The horn and cig lighter share the same circuit.

I would suggest tracking down the horn relay under the dash and testing it to see if it's faulty. The horn and cig lighter share a feed wire that splits off Fuse 16 under the dash. One wire goes to the horn relay and the other goes to the cig lighter.

Yes this is true but it still does the same thing.
