I'm sure most of you have seen this already but i thought i'd post it just in case(a search turned up nothing)...
This is off another mustang forum much smaller than this. a lengthy story, but worth reading it's an incredibly fast growing thread.
Long story short: An american soldier MAJORLY screwed by an all mustangs performance shop in AZ. Moderators feel free to kill this post if it's already been done.

That's unbelievable. It's a good thing they never replied to my email when I was considering purchasing a tranny from them. I hope the story gets around and they go out of business.

I saw this before on the 4.6L forums.

It sucks too. They were the only decent shop for mustangs in AZ. So now I have to go out of state, or to some ricer shop for (dyno/custom chip) work.

I thought this was well known. Crap, I would have posted this before.

BTW, they advertise in MM & FF and other mustang mags all the time. They go by AMPperformance.com

I'm just absolutely sick after reading that story. Kinda makes you wonder why they are still in business??? Hopefully they will go out of business soon.

I'm guessing that some magazines and other major sites will get a hold of this story. Right now that post is 32 pages long!!!

I'm dropping about $1,800 at a local shop right now that I've never been to, but one that I trust due to great references and feedback. I talked with the owner at length on my first visit and even today. Well today I was supposed to pick up my car, but didn't because of more problems. Fortunately the problems can be fixed cheaply AND I can get my full suspension installed (MM). After the conversation, I feel like I can trust this shop and that they are being honest. The shop in Gunter Performance in Lawrenceville, GA. Not near Phoenix, but a good experience none the less. Just very nice folks who are true car guys.

I'm game for getting the word out.

That's just not right. I can't believe how calm he remained about the whole thing. Not to take anything away from his situation, but I'm glad that was not me, as I would probably be in jail right now for doing something stupid, because I would have lost it.

There is over 500 people reading this thread as of right now. People are reporting back from Austrailia and even RC/motorcycle forums.

Something like 30,000 views of this thread. Nuts, eh?

These guys are about to find out what it means to have your bad name spread across the entire Internet. I've seen this thread pop up on three different forums, and two mailing lists. It's spreadin' fast! Ain't the net great...

It does have it's good points, don't it. I just posted it in another forum myself.

(edit):
Not a moment too soon either, because now their server is so busy I can't get back in to see it. Hopefully, because everybody's posting to it.
