Was wondering if any of you might know if it is worth it or not. Thinking of putting a set of Cleveland heads on top of 351W, Is the gains worth it or not. I have either 71 or 72 351C, but dont know if I want to put them on or stick with the 351W heads instead, anyone know if the gains are significant enough to want to do this

You'd be better off getting a good set of aftermarket windsor heads. cleveland heads were good for their day but mordern is better and you dont have to adapt them. Would be a little different though.

its been done, but you have to redrill some water passages, plug others, other mods I'm forgetting, etc.....Id use the effort into porting what you have or look at inexpensive iron aftermarket heads. JMO.

Yeah, I remember when my friend made a Clevor.....it sucked. It had no power below about 4000 rpm becuase he used the 4V heads. He had tons of money invested and it was a pig on the street. Get a good set of aftermarket Windsor heads. My buddy's 93 has a 351 with Edelbrock Victor Junior heads and it runs mid to low 11's in the 1/4 and still gets about 14-16 mpg.
