I herd 15.5 gallons, how many liters is that? In my 87 GT I remember it taking around 45L of fuel but I recently bought a 91 GT and it took 52L+ of fuel so did ford change gas tank sizes from 87-93 at all? Can anybody help me out??

Thanks

btw Im from canada thats y im talkin about liters and not gallons

really? thats crazy I remmeber when my low gas light came on in my 87 and I filled it up asap it would take 45L tops but I ran this 91 GT very low down where the needle was barely above the empty mark(no low gas light came on) and I filled it up and it took 52L so maybe they changed gas tanks through the fox years?

Maybe not different gas tanks, but just different settings when the empty fuel comes on. When my 92' is on E it only takes 11 gallons to fill up, so they can diffinately be off a little bit. Especially after this many years.

google is your friend.

Just go to google and type "15.4 gal to l" and it does the conversion for you. Comes out to 58.2 L.

Google will do all types of conversions for you

It may be better, but it's about something else. I see your timeline point though...

Same here, when my car reads empty around 170/tank, it only takes 11-12 gallons to fill. So they are all 15.4 gallon tanks, and mine isn't reading right? Do i need to replace the sending unit??

The fuel gauge is about as accurate as the rest of the gauges.

Your 91 does not have a "low gas" warning light, maybe this is messing with your head.

no, when ford went to efi in the fox they put an in tank pump that houses the sending unit. if youre doing the efi swap use what you got with an inline pump and regulator to keep it simple.

I could swear I seen my low fuel light come on quickly when I took a corner fast but it never came on again(91 GT) Either way im only gettin about 270kms to a tank which is costing me almost $50+ canadian to fill, I gotta scan for some codes, my check engine light comes on after about driving for 20 mins car is still fast very smooth just a pig on gas I guess.
