Heres the current setup, accufab 65mm tb, cobra upper and lower, 1.6 rr's mac headers O/R H and pypes violator cat back with underdrive pulleys. Just had the 2.73's yanked out and some 3.55's put in. car is a speed density, vert automatic.
I rarely get to the track, maybe two or three times a year but would love to break out of the low 9.xx's and get some high 8s. I know the timing is at 12, i could bump it a little and maybe gain some there, decent tires would help, not sure if its spinning or not but i cant launch any higher than 1500 or i start to spin in staging.
ran 9.37 with a 2.17 60' at a little over 75 today.

You just answered your own question. Good tires so you can launch higher and bring that 60 down some

Ive been thinking about that for a while now. got a buddy that has it on his car and swears by it, sometimes at it when he runs out half way though a run.

trans was rebuilt about 3 years ago with a shift kit installed. I guess a little weight reduction wouldn't hurt, ive been needing to loose 15 pounds for a while now!

as little as possible. Im thinking that the tires will be where i start, ive never really liked the ones i have. maybe find a spare pair of pony rims and pick up a set of DR's that i can make a few passes on. winter project, other than painting the wifes car.

Bump the timing to 14 degrees. Lose weight from the car if you can.Traction would help a lot. 3.73 gears (might help a little, yet retain decent everyday driving).

Even just a set of skinnies up front would probably be good for some time. If you get a set of bigs and littles with a decent tire out back you'd definitely pick up your 3/10ths and possibly more.

more like 285lbs off the car...
good rule of thumb is 100lbs = .1
unless its weight out of the drivetrain

drag radials
and as much air pressure as you can run in your front tires.
14* of timing
pull front sway bar
