Alright guys, I finally took apart my timing chain cover and low and behold...look what I found. It was in my oil pan. The ring there was still on the crankshaft. I want to know, is my engine done and if not, what else should I look for and replace? Also, how can something like this happen? I'm not exactly sure what it is or what it does. Any info would help. Sigh. Thanks.

Wow, any damage to the chain itself? That's pretty scary.

No damage to the chain, the tensionor or anything else. Later today I'll stop by Dallas Mustang and see what they have to say.
