I hit a curb, and now my car pulls to the right like crazy. I have to keep the steering wheel turned ~15* CCW to keep her going straight.

I'd get an alignment, but I'm going to be replacing the stock header studs with stage 8s, but have no clue when they're coming in. Rather make some effort to alleviate this problem, than do nothing.

Thanks!

if you hit the cuve pretty hard......you should check if you damaged anything like the tie rods...... or anything of that nature

You loosen the tie rod end, disconnect it from the spindle, turn it whatever way it needs to go (counterclockwise would make it toe out and vice versa), then re-connect and snug the nut.

ummmmm no.

you loosen the lock nut and turn the inner tie rod to the proper setting. ive only had to take an outer tie-rod off once to do an alignment, and that was on a mercedes where i had to replace the outer and inner tie rods because they were rusted on.

Okay so I had it apart, but couldn't see how I adjust the inner tie rod. Any pics, or further explanation? Thanks!

you turn the inner tie rod until the toe spec comes in. i only ever did it on a Hunter alignment rack, never with a ruler and string.

So I just jack her up, then turn the inner tie rod? Im assuming I won't have to take off my wheel for this right?

Personally I wouldn't screw with it because toe doesn't just change itself unless the jam nut was loose and it moved over time.

You said you hit a curb and that is when it started, so obviously you have bent something because hitting a curb won't cause the tie rod to screw itself in or out

I would leave it alone, take a good look under there and compare the right and left sides of the car looking for differences in the suspension components.
Then replace the bent part.

Yes, but loosen the jam nut on the tie rod end and then turn the inner tie rod (long piece that runs into the rack).

But I'd definitely have it looked at after you get it relatively close. Because if something broke, you want to fix it.

you adjust toe with the vehicle on the ground, level. the suspension MUST be loaded. why dont you go to a place like Sears that has a 6mo/6k mile warrenty on the alignment and have them do it?

Yeah, that's the ideal way to do it ... But if you don't have something with bearings to drive up on then it would be impossible without jacking/lowering, jacking/lowering ... PITA for sure and you'd still never get it perfect.

Taking it somewhere is the best idea ..

it is damn near imossible to align it the qway you are talking about. just get it aligned. just making the wheel straight may not fix all your problems. the total toe will most likely be out pretty far and it will eat the tires up pretty badly
