HOW DO I: measure M/C bore?

Heres the problem. I have a M/C here and im not sure of the bore size. What is the correct way to measure the bore size?

A caliper, micrometer. The backside measures out

Heres a pic of the master cylinder. I measured in between the 2 yellow lines (smallest opening) and my measurement i got a TINY bit bigger then 1". Did i measure this right? Does this mean I have a 1" bore M/C or is their a different way to measure it?

Im going to be running this M/C (1" bore) with the turbocoupe rear calipers and 73mm fronts. Is this the right master cylinder for my application?

another thing, the master cylinder pictured, im assuming is SAE threads? Can anybody confirm this for me?

What ford car would this have come one? its a cast iron M/C with a 1" bore.

There is a 1 1/16" bore MC

You really need a measuring caliper to be accurate. I bought one a long time ago and i use it a lot for everything really.

I did it with a caliper, it definatly has a 1" bore.

Now back to my previous post, can anyone answer those q's?
