It is virtually impossible to wax too often. The only time you have a problem is if the car is never outside or driven.

I've always heard Dawn was the best at stripping wax. Also, I've heard that Simple Green would too.

You might get streaks doing that. A good non abrasive polish will remove wax without creating any swirl marks. Klasse all in one is what I use. Works Great

If you really want to dewax your car (idon't see the reason thow) use a very consentraded solution of polmolive or dawn soap really alot, then clay the whole car it will be smooth and dewaxed, You can never wax to much, if you want just get a clay bar and use that after a wash then wax she will feel like a babys ass, no need to de wax a car most likely your useing a carnuba baseed wax so odds are its mostly off after two weeks

To remove the old wax and surface contaminants - Wash car with dawn dish liquid then clay bar the whole car

Then, use a good polish and/or swirl mark remover to remove any swirls or sratches you have. To finish, follow this up with a pure wax like Meguiars 26 yellow wax or something of the such. You can never wax a car too often. Just be sure to apply it evenly and buff off using a soft diaper cloth or microfiber cloth to prevent further swirls.

I'm using the Meguiars NXT wax and spray detailer too, not too bad. Dish soaps alkali content makes the easiest and safest way to strip wax and will NOT damage your finish. Stripping is'nt a bad idea if you are switching waxes, but should'nt be necessary otherwise. I would avoid polish or rubbing compounds if you can. I'm also using microfiber towels to buff the wax, by far the best I've used! Have any of you guys tried buffing your freshly waxed cars with a damp towel or cloth to even the wax? I need to try it, its supposed to have an effect on the shine.

Do NOT use laundry det. or Simple.

Use ONLY Dawn dishwashing soap. Nothing else will strip the wax safely.

If you want to apply multiple coats, I would recommend a good polish over a good wax. No question about it!
