How do I remove the window trim?

THose things are held on by a little clip about every 8 inches or so around the windshield. YOu need a window trim removal tool that will have to wedge between the glass and the trim and hook that little clip and pull it down to release the trim from it....you might can find some videos off of youtube. The tool is relatively cheap...could make one if you had to...but its not a hard job, finding the clips is the hardest thing.

As far as the window trim goes...each piece will only go one way, so its not that bad to figre out where they go. Good opportunity to hit them with some polish and make them shine like new.

After about 3 hours of tugging and prying it worked.

Sorry I missed the Party, when I'm planning on removing the glass, I cut the rubber seal with a box cutter under the trim moldings and pull it out with some needle nose pliars. It makes it alot easier to get the trim removal tool in there to release the clips.

I never would have thought of that.

Good idea for sure, but I`m going to leave my glass in until I`m done with the body, then address that stuff right before paint.

Check out where my car is as of today.

D & D Specialty Cars

This place is a world class restoration shop with SEMA cars and everything.

They are doing metal repair on my quarters, rockers. and spraying it with epoxy primer.

Yes you have

It was the cover car in a 07 Hot Rod I think, they have a poster with the car on a magazine cover in their shop.

I never would have dreamed I would have found this kind of shop in my backyard so to speak. Dale is doing a car for the Riddler right now worth 2 1/2 million bucks.

I originally went over there to price quarter panel replacement, the owner toll me to strip my quarters to bare metal, and bring it back, which I did, he says now can save them and save me a bunch of money at the same time, you have got to respect a shop owner that actually looks out for the clients best interests.

I`ll save enough to almost finish prepping the car for paint.
