Stupid question I know. When I got the MM it had an aftermarket head unit already in it so I ripped out the factory cd player. The 99 has the factory system in it with the seperate cd player. Theres no lights on it or anything so I didn't know if I had to hit a button on the normal radio part of if theres a power button on the cd player that I'm just dumb and can't find, or if you just pop a cd in and it comes on. I'm kinda scared to pop a cd in there in fear that it don't work and I won't get my cd back.

Fords setup is so stupid who uses 2 radios? Put the cd player into the normal head unit and make it like normal people. I have a feeling the radio will be upgraded at some point lol

i have never dealt with the stock unit, but is there any way to click the volume knob, or push or pull it?

on the town car if i remember correctly, it was a push button, on my probe it was a click right at the beginning of the volume knob.

i could be wrong, but if you try to put the cd in and the radio doesnt work at all, you should have to force it in. i could be horribly wrong though.

ya if the cd player disent have power it shouldnt suck it in

hah thats how i was going to word it, just wasn't sure how that would sound. :D

edit, if your still not that comfortable with the idea of putting a cd in if your not sure if it will work, then i'd say try it with a blank cd.

if it wont let you get your cd back, you'll know not to stick another one in haha.

also, i was thinking, it may power on soon as the cd gets turned on, thats how the cd player in my car is, [aftermarket] you put a cd in and then it will go from the standby/off screen, to loading, then the cd.
