nah, too much trouble and cuttin a hole in the hood wasnt a option and was on a deadline cause gettin paint job friday! besides, for my first car i dont want a screamin deamon. it already gets horrible gas mileage.
Nice. I'm in the middle of a paint job on mine, and I bonded on a shelby scoop like that. Why not make if functional? It took less than 10 minutes to cut the hole in mine.
making it functional won't hurt gasmileage... generally any mod that increases power at all without using more gas only helps gas mileage. if you won't cut it, maybe paint under the scoop black or something so that it looks functional
the car is going to be a bright white with blue metallic stripes, this scoop was a bolt on and figured that would be best and wouldnt come off or anything.
just cut a hole in the hood. Thats what i did with my scoop. If it isnt functional, i think it would trap alot of water and debris in the scoop. Not a good thing.
