How do you adjust the accelerator pump on a holley truck avenger or 4160??

There is also a spring looking thing with a screw head at the end of the throttle linkage that sits over the accelerator pump lever under the primary fuel bowl. There is a specific gap that is supposed to be set there, but I don't remember what it is at the moment. Too much gap and you have a delay in the pump.

Ok, im reading the online FAQ from, holley they mention this gap anud its .015

So to actually adjust the amount of fuel sprayed you need to buy a larger pump?????

Ill check the gap .

I never use the gap setting to adjust the pump, I just adjust the spring screw to where there's no gap, you want the pump arm to start moving immediately with the throttle shaft opening. You can adjust the length of the squirt with different pump cams, but that's not necessary in 99% of applications. For a bigger "shot" you can install a 50cc accelerator pump and different size squirter nozzles. this is really only needed with larger than stock intake plenums.
