How do you adjust the throttle cable?!!

I took my TB off to install some headers. When my roommate put the TB back on he noticed that the throttle cable has too much play. Now there's practically no pedal left.
I can't find any info about tightening up the slack.

All I found on here was people using spacers on the pedal to get rid of the stock slack; Haynes is absolutely NO help.

only method i've heard of so far is using the spacers at the pedal. if all you did was remove the tb and put it back on, it shouldn't've moved, though. i'd double check that if i were you.

be careful when mashing the pedal during wot runs with the spacers on there, though--you might snap the cable.

Nevermind, there was nothing wrong with it...I guess, we were just tired from working on the car for 9 hours straight.
I went out there today after I was well rested and realized it was fine.

The header install though, wow, what a PITA!!!

9 hours?! What problems did you run into? I installed BBK shorties on mine in about two... I'm not trying to be a jerk, just curious.

I was doing an entire exhaust system. I removed A LOT of stuff for better access.
1. Had to saw off the old catback and remove H-pipe.
2. I removed the X-brace and strut tower brace.
3. Remove CAI, TB and smog crap
4. Remove superfluous bracket behind P/S pump - Seriously, why the hell is that there? Nothing hooked up to it, and it was totally a bitch to remove.
5: Modify EGR tube to fit BBK headers(my roommate had to cut & weld it for me).

Besides all that prep work, the header bolts on the drivers were the biggest hold-up. Between the a/c, p/s, and brake reservoir getting in the way, it was downright frustrating.

All in all, 9 hours for a full exhaust on an Auto 'vert doesn't seem too bad. I was reading ~12 hours for just the headers on other forums.

Guess the 9 hours was justified. I already had the O/R H-Pipe and catback on there already... The only crap I ran into was the EGR tube, which I used a shorter (if I recall correctly) piece of tube for, and had to use a flange kit on it also... Other than that, everything went fine. But, yeah, sounds like you had a lot of fun there.

i had the same problem with my throttle cable when i put new valve cover gaskets on....i thought i had stretched the cable some how lol
