how is it possible to beat a 383 stroker ls1 camaro putting 460 to the pavement before the 250 hp shot of nitro, without going and getting a 351+ engine.

Best to do with a forced induction if you do not want to go to the 351+ engine. A big turbo on a 331 with a small shot of nitrous could do it.

Either way you plan on doing it, it is going to cost you an arm and a leg.

I would get a turbo depending on model and year u have. turbochargedpower.com quoted me 5557 dollars for turbo and tune on my 95 cobra. That would be the easy way to do it all in one big swoop

Yeah my brother has a camaro with just the 350 LS1 and he puts 450 to the ground and then he also has a 150 shot of nitrous. Let me tell you that thing frigin rips.

The way you can beat him is by keeping your money in the bank and using it for far better assets - you will be far ahead of him. Don't worry about beating him just work with what you have and have fun with it. Besides you can only use that kind of power properly on the track. And if you don't have the money to maintain such a high maitenance car you may end up like some other people - money into a car they can't maintain, especially if a DD and only vehicle, then have to sell etc and then cry about it. I never understood that logic. Just One Man's Opinion

To get that done. A KB on our motors will never accomplish that.
Either a big turbo/331 combo or a big centrifugal/331-347 combo. And the skills to drive it. Along with the drivetrain to handle it and the suspension to control it.

My brother is currently in the process of saving for a 76mm turbo kit on his camaro and he should be putting out around 700rwhp on the streets. you cant argue about the power turbos give you

to get close to that, you're going to need a new block...so you're looking at atleast 8k for an engine, 2k for a new transmission, 1-2k in rearend/suspension. those are very conservative estimates...

my buddy Jani, who used to frequent here often, has an A4 block and the potential to put down over 700rwhp at 15psi (TT...big turbos)...he said he sunk 20k in to get there though...

And I'm sure there's lots more for upkeep and a probably a conservative figure. Not worth it unless you are sponsored, racing and getting paid. Keep your money.
