how do you guys cut good 60fts on drag radials?

Steven, just don't think of a drag radial as an "end all" for traction. There is a learning curve with them and if you go out and side step the clutch at 5000rpms more than likely you'll spin you way to a similar 60' as you are seeing now with normal street tires. However, if you give them a little time and learn what kind of launch YOUR car needs with the DR's they will hook and hook well.

Well I am going to the track tommaro.

Gonna set tire pressure to 22 psi, I guess thats good, and go down from there.

Gonna set from struts to 1 instead of 3.

Also going to ride the clutch instead of dumping it.

Any more tips?

Run the car at 150* and no more. Ice the hell out of the intake too. The hotter the car is, the slower you will run... running at ~150 versus full temp can be worth as much as 2mph in my car.

Yea that is true, this last January is when I ran my times in my sig. When my car is cooler its traps 2-3 mph better.

Now I have tires and suspension.

That 13.19 I just ran it one right after another. car was real hot, I was just trying to get a decent launch technique down.

I say you can run every hour and half, just make sure you pop the hood between runs

Yes, I realize this. I have been launching my car without slipping the clutch at all and I realize it is going to take alot of practice to get decent times with the drag radials. Only problem now is finding a cheap set of rims to put them on.

Since my DR's are on a 17X8 rim what should I put the pressure at since the rim is too small? 25-22-20? Just need a good starting point. I am getting stuff ready for the track right now for tonight.

Weh ever I make a run and then want to lower my pressure, so I just let out like 1 or 2 psi. I know after a run the psi is higher than I set it when it is cold.

Like cold 18 psi, then after run its 22 psi.

So if I let out 2 psi, would that make it 16 or 20 psi, is this making any sense?

Dude seriously you gotta try it out yourself. Put it at 17psi for example. Once heated up lets say they go up to 20psi. if you werent happy with how that worked/hooked, now put it at 18psi, etc.

With my 15" dr's, I was setting them once and it was when they were cold. 11.5psi and I didnt care to what they were gonna be after being warmed up. Thats how they worked best for me.
