Where do you line up the gaskets?

I am looking to port my E7's and my Tmoss lower to the Fel-Pro 1250 gasket. My question is where do you set the gasket to do the porting? Do you line up the top of the gasket with the top of the head / intake and port from there? Do you center the gasket and port???? If anyone has any pics it would be great!

Can't you just line up the bolt holes?

I'm not sure, I haven't tried it yet. I just figured I would see if anyone who has already done it might have some advice. Thanks for the tip. Anybody else????

You have to do a mock up. Set the gaskets down on the heads. Put on the lower and then take a felt tip pen and make a line across the top of the intake along the gasket. Now take everything back off and match the marks on the gaskets with the lower. Now take the pen again and out line the ports using the gasket as the template and thats where you port the lower. Good luck.

Use bolts through the gaskets and the intake. Porting a stock lower to a true 1250 is not a good idea - it is just bell-mouthing the lower section of the runner.
