How do you take the center console out?

There are 2 tabs w/screws mounted to the stereo console. You have to take the shifter bezel and boot off. Then you will need to get the insert out of the arm rest and there are mounting bolts under it I believe.
Then it just lifts off?
I though there were some tabs that made it to where you had to slide it to get it out.

I'm trying to remember. I don't believe there was anything like that. I know I had to slide it over the parking brake though.
Open the center console. There are two screws under rubber bumpers that hold the liner in. Then when you remove that you will se the other screws that hold the back.. Remove the Shift knob next. Now you have to remove the radio and cd player or pocket. There will be two torx screws that hold the vent/dash assembly that are located behind the lower slot for the cd player. The dash vent piece must be removed to remove the console if I remember correctly because there are two screws for the console that are covered up by the dash trim.
