How do you use a line lock to lauch a footbrake auto trans car?

I don't have one, and am thinking about one to help with burnouts, but I am not sure about needing it or how to acually launch with it. Is it for stick cars mostly?

yes mostly stick cars.....but will cut heat to an aod as well...but not much
you pump up the brakes....hold the button down..(this locks the fronts only) then you burn til you release the button.
only advantage is that the rears aren't holding at the same time...they completely free.

How cheap can the kits be had for? A good brand...

How easily are they to install?

Does it affect anything on the car refering to the brakes when not using them...?

i think they're about $150...for the hurst

other names are "roll control" "line-loc"

summit has theirs..hurst has theirs (probably the best one)

never installed 1 actually...

but had 2 buddies that ended up taking their cars in to have installed.

you need to split the line going to the rear. and find a hot wire inside to run the switch and selonoid....thats about it...but it's a little harder than it sounds.

when not using the line-loc.....it makes absolutely no change in the brake system.
