I asked this question on the 5.0 talk but no one responded. I just recently bought a 92GT about 3 days ago and I was curious how fast I would run at the 1/4 mile. I had a 01 Gt before this car and I never got to take it to the track, but this 5.0 seems faster then my 4.6. The dyno of the 5.0 said around 240 horsepower and 300 pounds of torque to the wheel.

It depends on how well you drive I would think. My grandma would never be able to break 16's I'm sure, in a 92GT, let alone even get the car into gear.

Welcome to the 5.0 boards...

My story is similar to yours in that I had to get rid of my 00 GT 5spd to get something cheaper...hence the 93 LX 5.0...can't get stangs out of my life

Well look at my sigs...both of the cars run within .003 of each other. Looking at my timeslips it appears the 5.0 has the off the line edge till about 50 or so and then my then 00 GT would slowly start to pull and finished 1 mph faster...

Hope that made sense and seeing your mods on the 5.0 yours should be faster than mine...its probably slightly faster than your 01

Again welcome to the 5.0's...

My 5.0 ran a 13.68 (3400 pounds race weight)...and you have a steeper gear, intake, and cam over me...get some drag radials and shift quick and precise
